7.15.1 Secrets to Moving a Mini-Map
To move the Mini-Map to another part of the screen (away from the Device icon).
- Click the ‘pin’ symbol (shown below) to ‘unpin’ the map popup. This will allow you to move it anywhere on the screen.
- Once the map popup is ‘unpinned’ and moved, you must then turn on the ‘auto-updater’ using the button shown below to ensure the information updates every time a new report is received.
- If you tracking Devices using one or more ‘unpinned’ Mini-Map popups (with auto-update turned on) you can instantly zoom to a Device on your Base map at any time.
Simply click the ‘target’ icon (circled below) to centre on the Device.
7.16 Removing the Map from a Mini-Map
The default setting for Mini-Maps normally shows a map inserted on the first panel.
If you want to track Devices, the ‘User data’ slide may be a more useful default than the Map slide. Take these steps to change the first slide’s default setting.
- Open the Menu > User > User Settings.
- Scroll down the User Settings to Map Popup Default Slide.
Click the drop-down arrow in the text box.
- Select a new setting.
- Scroll down and click APPLY.
To leave User Settings, click FINISH.
7.17 Changing a Mini-Maps Map
Sometimes a Device's Mini-Map is set to match the main Base map. This can cause the maps to blend together visually making the Mini-Map almost useless. To change a Mini-Maps map display to something other than what is the Base Map, take the followings steps:
- Open the Menu > User > User Settings.
- Scroll down the User Settings to Mini Map Base Layer.
Click the drop-down arrow in the text box and select the Base Layer you want to appear in the Mini-map.
- Click APPLYand FINISH.
